Dr. Alexandra Sellassie Antohin (PhD, University College London) is an anthropologist and educator. She has performed academic roles for institutions such as George Washington University, Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Middlebury College, Westchester Community College and University of Alaska Fairbanks. Dr. Antohin's research has focused on ethnographic studies with Orthodox Christian communities in Ethiopia and the Russian Far East, as well as historical research on the Russian Church in Alaska. 

Past roles include Director of Education at Vermont Folklife and Senior Research and Program Director for the AVOICE Virtual Library Project, part of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's digital archive on Black legislative behavior. Her expertise in community-based qualitative research and her commitment to heritage advocacy enhance her role in supporting cultural institutions and educational initiatives. She is currently finalizing a book on the social significance of the covenant in Ethiopian Orthodox Christian devotional life. Dr. Antohin is currently serving as the Grants Manager on the development and communications team at CorpsAfrica.
