Description

This workshop is designed for anyone overseeing workplace communicators (and everyone is a workplace writer) or document processes who is interested in helping writers to produce more effective written communication. Participants will learn about strategies for providing both written and oral feedback on all types of documents that will not only help to streamline the document review process, but also help the supervisor or manager guide the writer toward better practices and strategies.

Outcomes

Participants will learn to:

  • Read and talk about writing in nuanced ways
  • Give feedback with an emphasis on teaching, in addition to document improvement
  • Balance their commentary about higher-order and lower-order concerns
  • More effectively “assign” writing
  • Find options for non-traditional feedback processes
