Music master class: “Making (and not making) a living in music

Meiburg's band Shearwater has released nine studio albums for Matador and Sub Pop records, including Palo Santo, Rook, The Golden Archipelago, Animal Joy, Fellow Travelers, and Jet Plane & Oxbow. In 2018 they re-created David Bowie’s“Berlin” Trilogy of albums for WNYC’s New Sounds program (available on Bandcamp). Meiburg has collaborated with Sharon Van Etten, Xiu Xiu, Bill Callahan, and Brian Eno, and toured with Coldplay, St. Vincent, Clinic, Wye Oak, and Dinosaur Jr, and co-founded the band Loma with members of Cross Record.
