This year's Julian Clement Chase Prize ceremony features Reuben Jackson, author of Scattered Clouds (2019), as the keynote speaker. The 2019 awardee, Adam Graubart, will share his research.

The ceremony and reception honor exceptional research writing about the District of Columbia.

Adam Graubart, "Pursuing Tzedek: DC Synagogues Building Movements for Social Justice"

Adam researched involvement in social justice work among Jewish congregations in D.C. His project -- his senior thesis -- used interviews and quantitative research to examine how these congregations seek to align actions with values.
