The UWP's spring University Writing and Research Conference spotlighted the work of over 20 former UW students as they presented research conducted in their fall 2020 UW1020 classes.
In addition to these ten lively panel discussions, this iteration of our twice-yearly conference offered an exciting new feature--two alumni roundtables, where a total of ten past conference presenters returned for a conversation about writing after UW1020. These conference alums, a mix of current students and recent graduates, reflected on the writing skills they developed in their University Writing classes and offered research and writing advice to current students.
The roundtable discussions also allowed the program to catch up with these former presenters on their recent writing endeavors and hear about the fantastic work they've done for senior capstone projects, internships, grad school, and community organizations.
